Our Vision
To be a covenant family in our community which is transformed by the Gospel, empowered by the Spirit, and focused by our Mission.
Our Mission
To seek the lost and grow disciples who worship and enjoy our Lord.
Our Core Values
A COMMITMENT TO THE GOSPEL
Gospel is the ultimate answer for a hurting lost world. It is the truth by which we are made new and are renewed. It is the message of the Gospel which compelled Paul to face incredible persecution. The Gospel that is to be preached through out the world. The Gospel that brings healing and freedom from emotional and spiritual bondage. Rom 1:16-17, Acts 20:24, Mark 13:9-10
A COMMITMENT TO VIBRANT WORSHIP
We believe that worship in spirit and truth is our loving response to God’s actions and character. John 4:23-24
A COMMITMENT TO EVANGELISM AND MISSION
We believe that the first business of the church is to evangelize the world. We are therefore committed to making disciples as commanded by our Lord in our Community and in the World. (Matt 28:19-20, Acts 1:8)
A COMMITMENT TO PRAYER
We believe that God in His sovereignty has chosen to work through the prayers of his people. We will therefore engage in the work of prayer for communion, guidance, power, encouragement, intercession, petition, healing, and praise. (Matt 7:7-11, 14:23; Jas 5:13-20; Eph 3:16-17, 6:18; Php. 4:6; Col. 4:2-4)
A COMMITMENT TO FAMILY
We believe that God has called us to be family to one another. We believe that families matter to God and are to be honored, supported and equipped through the ministries of the church. We believe that one of the best ways to care for and equip the family is through small group ministries. (Gen 17:7; Jn 13:34; Gal 6:10)
A COMMITMENT TO CHILDREN AND YOUTH
We believe that Children matter to God. Most people come to Christ prior to the age of 18. It is our continued conviction that we are responsible first to bring up our children in the faith. Children teach us what it means to come to God. Mark 10:13-16,Acts 2:38-29
A COMMITMENT TO SPIRIT INSPIRED TEACHING OF THE WORD
We believe that the Bible is God’s inspired Word, the authoritative and trustworthy rule of faith and practice for Christians. We are committed to equip believers in Christ through relevant preaching and teaching of the word so that through the power of the Spirit we might grow more and more into the likeness of Christ. (Dt. 29:29; Psa. 119; 2 Peter 1:20-21; 2 Tim. 3:16-4:2; Jas 1:22)
A COMMITMENT TO GIFT-BASED LAY MINISTRY
We believe that God has gifted each person uniquely to be an effective member of the family, and that it is the responsibility of the pastors and teachers of the church to prepare God’s people for the works of service. When each member works as God has gifted, the body of believers is strengthened and encouraged. We will therefore place the ministry of Ashland into the hands of God’s people as they are gifted by the Spirit of God. (Eph 4;11-16; Rom 12:4-8; 1 Cor 12)
